During this interior design course you will be instructed in all aspects of interior design by a team of Australia’s leading interior designers, design writers and manufacturers of design materials.

As you progress, you will be learning about the actual market place for your design skills, how to go about creating functional and appealing design concepts, selling your services and every trick of the trade to ensure your success.

From your first tutorial, you are working with your tutor towards commencing your own freelance design consultancy and being paid for your efforts.

One of the most important aspects of the course is its Australian origin. Although the principles of interior design are similar the world over, this course concerns itself specifically with all the Australasian aspects of design. It’s this direction and emphasis that will greatly help to ensure your success.

How The Interior Design Course Is Structured

Provided by distance learning, The Professional Interior Design Course comprises of 12 in-depth tutorials delivered to you by your choice of post or email, over 12 or 24 weeks. This interior design course is self-paced and you may take as long as a year to complete your assignments and graduate from the Academy.

If you choose to have your tutorials delivered by post, reply-paid envelopes are included to assist with your assignment return.

This course has been specifically designed with our student’s work and family commitments in mind. Our assignments have no due dates, so you can simply hand in your work when you are ready. If you find yourself stuck on an assignment, we have a large collection of assignment examples and resources to use as a guide for your own work.

This  interior design course is not simply about the theory of interior design. It’s also about practical work in interior design, meeting client’s needs, marketing your services and being paid for your design skills. With this in mind, your 8 course assignments will see you emulating the real-world work of professional interior designers.

In as little as 12 weeks, you will be ready to take your first steps into the exciting and challenging world of interior design.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, we can place your file on hold for a period of time, or customise a payment plan to best suit your needs.

As the course is self-paced, with no assignment due dates and up to one year to complete your work, you have full study flexibility and freedom. However, if other commitments are intruding upon your time, we can hold further tutorials until you are ready to continue.
