It is an amazing feeling to have completed The Professional Interior Design Course, and I have come away with so much practical information. As a stay-at-home mum and helping my husband one day a week, the biggest plus for me with this Course was the flexibility of distance learning. This interior design course is well written and very up to date. I really appreciated my tutor’s feedback and that support was important to the whole learning process.
My purpose in doing this interior design course was to be better prepared to help my husband in our building company. Completing the course has been very worthwhile to our business, as we now offer my services to any clients that would like the input of an interior designer. I have also been able to go to industry trade fairs, which would not have been possible otherwise, and have gained inspiration from seeing lots of wonderful products. I have gained so much confidence in dealing with clients and in the choices I make.
Our latest project was designed by my husband and myself, where I selected all of the internal and external finishes and colours. We have opened the home up as a display home and I was fortunate enough to be able to decorate and furnish it. My main aim while choosing the finishes, fixtures and furnishings was to make it practical and functional, something I would enjoy living in myself, and then adding the personal touches and a bit of glamour to finish off the picture. I had a lot of fun doing it and am so glad to have chosen this field for a career!
My husband and I have been opening the home ourselves and have been getting some amazing feedback. I have already had one lady book an appointment with me to refurbish and decorate her home, just from seeing the display home.
There is no way I would have been able to do this without the knowledge and confidence this interior design course has given me.
